  • Hello Enda,

I have tried to answer your query in pointers mentioned below:

    a) The Activity Status is the current status of Twonky Server.
In case you are streaming any content through Twonky Server on your network connected device like TV etc. then the Activity Status would be shown as Streaming and if currently you are not streaming any content through Twonky Server then activity status would be shown as Not streaming.

    b) It seems you are getting this myTwonky error message due to mytwonky account not set up.

Twonky 7.0.7 Special includes all of the components you need to work with myTwonky. If you have Twonky 7.0.7 Special installed on your computer and have connected it to your Twonky account, you will be able to link to your local libraries in myTwonky and beam from myTwonky.

If you do not link your mytwonky account with Twonky Special 7.0 then it will be required to login to mytwonky account within every 10 days to keep it activated.

To resolve this issue follow the steps given below:-

    1. Open Twonky web config page: - http://127.0.0.1:9000/

    2. Go to Status tab, there will be an option for myTwonky.com, click on Register server. Make sure that in your browser settings Pop-ups option is set to allowed.

    3. This will open a new tab where it will ask for user name and password for mytwonky account. Login to that account. If you haven't set that up then Sign up as a new user.

    4. Once you are signed up and you have linked your mytwonky account with Twonky 7.0 settings then the status tab will show that you are Logged in as "username of your account".

    5. Now share content through Twonky and try to access it. You won't get this error message to register to server again.

    c) Also if you are connecting your Iomega NAS directly to PC through USB port to host external storage devices and want to share content stored on NAS through Twonky Server then follow these steps:

    1. Open Twonky web config page: - http://127.0.0.1:9000/
    2. Click on Sharing Tab.
    3. Under Removable Media section check mark Auto Share Media option.
By enabling this feature, TwonkyServer will automatically share all media files from a removable media device. When you unplug the device, its media files will no longer appear on the server.

Please revert if you need more info.

  • Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply. My account is connected and still no streaming.

"You are logged in as enda99"

I cant figure it out. I wonder does my iomega storage manager have anything to do with it? When i connect it says ...

    Thanks,
    Enda
